Connect the instrument to the USB-Port and put the memory card into the slot.If you still have an old version of the MapSource Programm, you can download the newest version at Garmin .

16 MB approx. 1 minute
32 MB approx. 2 minutes
64 MB approx. 4 minutes

The USB Programmer gets its power from the PC. That means you don`t need batteries.
