Mc Murdo Cospas Sarsat EPIRB G4 406 GPS
The Cospas-Sarsat beacon G4 GPIRP is a follower of the approved
EPIRB E3. It additionally has a built-in 12-channel GPS-receiver and is
able to transmit not only with the use of Cospas Sarsat Satellites, but
also with 3 geostationary satellites in an emergency.
The G4 is an important safety device in the Global Maritime Distress
and Safety Systems (GMDSS) to start search
and rescue activities in an emergency.
The instrument can be mounted on all types of vessels.
It is also named GPS-EPIRB or GPIRB.

As soon as the EPIRB is out of the bracket and comes into contact with

Every EPIRB is programmed with an individual number, wich has to be
registered in the country, where the yacht is flagged.
The programming requires: MMSI, UKW- call signal and the name of the
yacht.
Included in delivery:
EPIRB G4 406 GPS and bracket with Hydro switch, due to GMDSS including
the programming of the individual number.
