Fastnet FMD15 Weather report, weather prediction and warnings automatically on
board
Der FMD15 is an automatical weather- and warning message receiver.
It is a standard NAVTEX-receiver for the international frequency 518
kHz including a selectable frequency for the receiving of weather data
for professional mariners. It receives and memorizes all messages from selected
NAVTEX-stations. They can be printed at once or on demand with the internal
printer. The built-in receiver has a fixed frequency for weather data.
You can choose between north sea, baltic sea and the mediterranean sea.
With the programmable timer up to 9 weather reports per day can be received
and saved automatically. The text decoded reports can be read on the display
and printed partly or as a whole text. A four- line, backlit display and
the sprayproof, clear keypad guarantee an easy and comfortable operation.
After programming transmitting times, you will have up- to- date
weather reports just by pressing a button. The best receiving quality you
will have in the areas A1 and A2. While receiving weather data strong interferences
from the surrounding are eliminated because of the narrow band filtration
of the input signal. It is a "stand-alone"-instrument, that can be left
in a standby mode because of its low electric power consumption.
• Receiver The NAVTEX 518 kHz frequzency is preprogrammed, the frequency for weather
reports can be set for the area you are in (e.g.147,3 or 10.100,8 kHz).
• NAVTEX-Decoder The NAVTEX-frequency 518 kHz can be received worldwide in english .
The desired sender or kind of message
can be chosen with keypad and display. Repetitions of already received
and saved messages can be suppressed. The alarm function can be switched
on or off.
• MSI (Maritime Security Information) Decoder receiving, decoding and text prints of MSI-messages according
to the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS).
• Weather reports and predictions The FMD 15 automatically receives, decodes and saves weather data ,
that are prepared for professional mariners at a preset time.
• Timer function Up to 9 different programm memory stores can be activated at a preset
time. Memorized weather data and warnings can be shown on a 4-line display
and printed with the thermal printer.
• Navigation log and NMEA-printer An external GPSA can easily be connected with the NMEA-0183-interface.
Position data are saved in user selectable time- or way intervals and can
be printed for documentation. If you use an NMEA-printer, the received
NMEA-Data sets are directly printed.
• Installation and operation Besides the mechanical installation you only have to connect the
12 V-power supply, earthing and a suitable antenna. Included in delivery
are a ready-to-plug, mounted cable and a plug for the antenna input. The
also delivered brackets allow the mounting in several inclination angles
on
a desk, , at the wall
or at the ceiling. Also a detailed german manual
gives you advise for installation and operation.
