Autopilot ST 6002 Sets

The control unit  has to be mounted in the cockpit.It has a  SeaTalk and  NMEA Interface to the GPS or sea chart plotter. So you can navigate either with the compass  (with the enclosed fluxgate sensor) or with the GPS (if the GPS is connected to the next waypoint). You can certainly switch to manual or automatic control.

The drive has to be mounted inboards either as a linear  push unit at the rudder quadrant (yachts) or as an hydraulic pump (hydraulic control).

Included in delivery is a rudder position sensor. It has to be mounted at the rudder quadrant.The sensor provides an more accurate working of the auto pilot..

The fluxgate sensor has to be mounted at the bulkhead,
or, with metal yachts,above the deck. It sends the compass course to the control 
unit..

The S1G course computer additionally contains the  RateGyro and the AST Software. The Gyro compass sends an exact course signal,that can also be used for the sea chart plotters with radar overlay. The AST Software quickly adapts to the steering characteristics of your yacht and to other influences like the sea.
